What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are essential for the site to work; others are optional and help us understand usage or remember preferences. We also use similar technologies like local storage for the same purposes.
How we use them
Frasassi is built privacy-first. We do not run advertising trackers, and we explicitly opt out of ad-targeting technologies such as Topics/FLoC at the server level. The cookies we use fall into these categories:
| Type | Purpose | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keep you signed in, secure your session (httpOnly, SameSite-strict), protect against CSRF, and enforce rate limits. | No — required for the site to function |
| Preferences | Remember choices such as a closed banner or a product setting. | Only if non-essential |
| Analytics (if enabled) | Understand which pages and features are used so we can improve them, in aggregate. | Yes |
Third-party cookies
When you use product features that load third-party resources — for example map tiles, fonts, or AI services — those providers may set their own cookies or receive technical data needed to deliver the feature. We choose providers that align with our privacy-first approach and pass them the minimum data required.
Controlling cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to refuse non-essential cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site — such as signing in — from working. Where we offer optional cookies, you can decline them and still use the core site.
